Mendeleev readings

The head of the department "Origami" of Municipal Education Center I. Glagoleva acted with the initiative to organize at the Museum of the History of Science and Technology JINR scientific conference titled "Mendeleev readings". The Council of the Museum supported this initiative and decided to make it annual.

The task of the initiators and organizers of the readings is to enable children (elementary and middle classes )who are interested in a variety of scientific phenomena, describe them clearly, intelligibly, fascinatingly not only within their classes, study groups in the classroom, but in a different audience, in this case - at the Museum of JINR.

Why readings are called Mendeleev? This question is answered by I. Glagoleva: Mendeleev, his devotion to science, his versatile genius, his achievements in various fields of science should be an example for those who want to profess science and technology, to stand on way of knowing. The first steps in this direction have already been made by participants of readings.

Photos from the readings are in the section "Photogallery".
